So glad to have you here!
Greetings! Welcome to the family of Redeemer Lutheran Church!
Who are we?
First and foremost, we are a community of people who love God- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. My prayer and desire for you is that you would know the height and depth of God’s love for you. That before we ever loved him, he loved us. God the Father sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to us and for us to die on our behalf to pay the debt of our sins. He desires all people to be saved- to believe in Jesus Christ as savior, repent of sin and follow him as Lord, and receive his forgiveness and His Holy Spirit, that we can be at peace with God and be in fellowship with him for eternity.
We are a disciple making congregation. We see the church as:
- A hospital for sinners, a safe place where people can find healing and hope
- A greenhouse for growth, where we grow in community, knowledge, obedience, and discipleship
- A training center for service, where we learn to use our spiritual gifts and have the humble servant heart of Christ
- A launchpad for everyday missionaries, where we are sent out into our neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces to join Jesus on his mission to transform, redeem, and restore the world, making disciples who make disciples.
We believe in the authority of the Bible as God’s inspired Word.
We are grounded in the historical orthodox Christian faith.
We have a Lutheran heritage that influences the way that we interpret the Bible and practice our faith (Ex: Word and sacrament, law and Gospel).
We desire to be Spirit-led, allowing God to speak to us and show us where He is working so that we can partner with Him in what He is doing. We also seek to be in unity with other like-minded churches, partnering together for the sake of the Kingdom and the Gospel.
Though we all have sin and imperfectly follow God’s commands, we always strive to confess, repent, and be obedient to God’s teachings and standards through the power of the Holy Spirit in every area of our lives. We seek to speak truth in humility, love, and grace in all circumstances. I hope that you will join us as we join Jesus in his mission.
With peace and love in Jesus Christ,
Pastor Trent
