Our Verse: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frame of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 6:5-9

The goal of Children's Ministry is to help bring children into a relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Partnering with and helping to equip parents to show how to pass the faith to their children as we are called to do by God.

“...We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord...”
Psalm 78:4

We know, everyone’s schedule is different, so we encourage each family to mark a time on your calendar for Family Bible time. As a church that holds parents as the primary disciple makers, this is exactly how you as parents can develop your faith relationship with your children. It will have a video with questions to discuss as a family, and a music video all under the “Featured Video” for that week.

We are asking that you register your children through Realm, so we know how many children are participating and so we can communicate with you for any upcoming changes. In addition, we hope to continue to utilize our teachers and volunteers, but in a different way.

We must make sure we prioritize our time with God first, if we want to build up warriors for Christ.

G.R.O.W. Wednesdays

For children up to 5th grade

We will be holding off on anything live or virtual at this time. Any questions please email Valerie Bartel at valerie.bartel@redeemer.us

Our hope is to help them stay connected with God and be in fellowship with other friends during the week.

As we “Get Real On Wednesdays”, we will learn more about Jesus’ love for us.  This year our topic of study will be prayer.  Each evening will include a Bible story, recreation, music or craft and snack.  We will also have service nights where we will show the children how to be the hands and feet of Jesus by participating in service projects.
Friends are always welcome, we will have scheduled "bring a friend" nights. But children are encouraged to bring their friends.
Children up to 5th grade from 6:15 - 7:45pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church

Lil' Sparks

Lil’ Sparks preschool program will be running differently this year. We will have weekly videos which will be uploaded to our Children’s Ministry You Tube page for anyone who has preschool children. This is free of course. There will be a Bible lesson, craft, music, and academic focus in the short 30-minute video. We will also have opportunities for monthly gatherings (30-minute sessions) once a month around lunch time for those who can make it.  If you want to receive the crafts and participate in the gathering’s registration is required.

The nursery is safe and nurturing environment which is utilized during both church services (8am and 11am) for children who haven’t entered Kindergarten. All of our volunteers have had a background check completed. Please note that during special services that aren’t during our normal operating church service times, the nursery will not be available.

We review all safety procedures with all teachers and volunteers, so they are prepared for an emergency. We also use a check in system to help keep track of all students and ask parents to sign their children in and out when picking their kids up from each room.

Kid Safe Booklet

Kid Safe Form

All volunteers who work with children are required to have a kidsafe form or background check completed prior to working in contact with children. We have a volunteer training in the beginning of each school year to review all policies in place.

Feeding Room

There is a special nursing room to the left in the family life center, for moms or dads who might need to feed or calm their baby.

Special Needs

We hope each child feels included and knows how precious they are to God’s kingdom, that’s why we have a special buddy system for those children who want to participate during Sunday school, but might need a little more assistance or guidance to help them feel successful. We want to understand your child and encourage the parents who have any concerns to express them to the leaders involved so we can set up your child for success. We also have a Sensory Room which is for all age ranges which can help address a wide variety of student needs. Please contact Valerie Bartel for more information.

First Communion

This is a special time for your second grader (or older) to learn more about the true meaning of communion. We find this is an opportunity for them to not only grow in their faith and spiritual development, but it helps build a connection with the parents as they take part in the classes with their children. There are 3 classes which are held during the Lent season.
